Grow Together. Heal Together.

Group therapy brings people together to learn, reflect, and grow in a supportive setting.

Who it’s for

Group therapy at VIP is designed for people navigating stress, anxiety, adjustment, relationship concerns, burnout, or major life transitions. It’s also well suited for those seeking connection, shared understanding, or a structured space to build insight and strengthen coping skills. In Vietnam, where community and shared experience are central to well-being, group work offers a powerful way to feel less alone and practice new skills in a supportive setting. We offer groups in English, Vietnamese, and bilingual formats for both local and international clients.

Frequently asked questions

Many people are curious about what group therapy is like, how it works, and whether it’s the right fit. We’ve gathered answers to common questions to help you understand what to expect and feel more comfortable before joining.

  • Individual therapy focuses on a one-to-one relationship. Group therapy adds real-time interpersonal feedback and connection that can’t happen in individual work.

  • Not necessarily. We will help determine what is most appropriate during intake.

  • We start with a short screening to understand your goals, comfort level, and what you’re hoping to work on. This helps us recommend the group that fits you best. If group isn’t the right step right now, we’ll offer individual or other options.

  • You can take your time. Many people ease in gradually. Listening is part of the work, and you set your own pace.

  • Sessions usually begin with a brief check-in. From there, members talk about current challenges, reactions, or patterns they want to work on. The therapist guides the process to keep it safe and useful.

  • Most members benefit from attending at least 12–16 sessions, which gives enough time to build trust and make meaningful progress. Some choose to stay longer as their goals develop or as they find value in continued connection.

  • Most groups have 6–10 members. This size keeps the space personal while allowing diverse perspectives.

  • Yes. All members agree to maintain confidentiality.

  • Schedule a brief screening with us. We’ll review your goals, explain how the group works, and confirm logistics. If it’s a good fit, we’ll give you your start date and simple guidance to help you feel ready for the first session.
